FirstCall advises that you protect yourself before a loss by following these steps:

Review your insurance coverage annually. Keep plenty of replacement cost coverage on structure and personal property.
Don't save money on insurance - Relative to the payback, insurance is cheap, but being underinsured can be very expensive.
Create records with a digital camera and/or video recorder. Document everything in your house or place of business by taking hundreds of pictures. Burn the photos to two CDs and store the copies off site. A picture is worth 1,000 words - hundreds of pictures can be worth thousands of dollars!

FIRST CALL HOLDS FREE EVENT TO HELP TORNADO VICTIMS WITH INSURANCE CLAIMS

FirstCall, a firm of licensed public adjusters, which advocates for the insured and specializes in property loss claims, is hosting a free Tornado Insurance Claims Event for Murfreesboro residents. The event will provide valuable information on how to properly file insurance claims, discuss the importance of partnering with a licensed public adjuster and detail how to get more money out of a settlement.
